Great Career as a Material Management Apprentice

The United States Air Force goes through a lot of equipment every day. The equipment is used to change tires on aircraft, to replace missing components and to basically maintain the equipment which is used on a day-to –day basis. Because not everything can be made onsite to fill the needs of the base, it is necessary to order the materials and have them shipped to a central warehouse on the base where everything can be handled and distributed properly.

Shipping and Receiving

When you work as a material management apprentice in the US Air Force, you will be responsible for making sure that the materials that your unit needs are being ordered and are being warehoused properly. You will also be responsible for shipping out materials which have been requisitioned by other units. This will help to make sure that the material which is needed is at the right location for those who need it.
