In the fight against Nuclear war and terrorism, the technical application specialist is instrumental. Working in this career helps to find and neutralize weapons of mass destruction and detecting deployment of weapons. To be proficient in this position you will receive training in many different disciplines of science and detection techniques. This will allow you to work with the agencies which will carry out the duties of eliminating threats against the United States and the world.
Training as a Technical Application Specialist
In order to monitor the world for following nuclear treaties and other elements of nuclear development you will have to go through extensive training. This includes 60 days of intensive training to familiarize you with the different electronic fundamentals. You will also receive 65 days of basic training in technical applications fundamentals. You will additionally go through training which will be specific to the area you will be working in.

You will be eligible for additional training while you work in order to make you more valuable and more likely to be promoted. You will begin as an entry level specialist, but can be promoted to management jobs or jobs helping to develop cutting-edge technology.
